The KLIA Ekspres connects KLIA (T1 & T2) to KL Sentral station, bringing you into the city centre in about 30 minutes. From here, two options are available to bring you to the KL Convention Centre area:-

(i) Follow the signage to catch a taxi/use e-hailing services to travel directly to your hotel (Recommended)

(ii) Transfer to the Kelana Jaya Line LRT (train) and take the train to the KLCC station (20 minutes). It would then be a further 10-15 minute walk from the station to arrive at the hotels surrounding the KL Convention Centre. 💡 The cash fare for the Kelana Jaya Line LRT from KL Sentral station to KLCC station is around RM2.40.

Airport Taxi/Limousine

You can also take a taxi/limousine from KLIA to your destination. Airport taxis/limousines are readily available at the airport, and the journey will take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic conditions. Purchase your tickets for the airport taxi/limousine at the designated kiosks. Please be wary of unsolicited taxi touts who may approach you, especially at the arrival hall.

The price range for a budget taxi, including tolls, is between RM90.00 and RM120.00 (USD21.00 to USD27.00). For a limousine service, prices start at around RM190 (USD43). A surcharge may apply on weekends, during rush hour, and at peak hours.

Ticket counters are available inside the airport:

  • KLIA1 limousine service: booths after baggage claim, just before the exit for limousine.
  • KLIA1 budget taxi: counter outside door 5 or inside near door 2
  • KLIA2 budget taxi: counter outside door 3

E-Hailing

E-hailing services are widely available in Malaysia at affordable prices, offering a convenient way to move around.

Grab, a popular ride-sharing service in Malaysia, is an alternative to airport taxis. You can book a Grab car at KLIA (Level 1) using the Grab app on your smartphone. Please note that a mobile data connection is required to book a car (Wi-Fi by itself is insufficient).

For transfers from KLIA Terminal 1 (T1), there is also the option of choosing Grab EV, which offers a low or zero-emission ride to Kuala Lumpur on a fully electric MPV.

Other Options of E-Hailing: AirAsia MOVE, Maxim, MyCar

You may download these apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play. We recommend downloading and setting up your preferred app(s) before your arrival for a smoother experience.
