APAA advises that all functions outside the official program are strictly forbidden during the period of the APAA Meeting from 7th November 2025 to 10th November 2025. The only exceptions are Private Functions which are held between 18:00 to midnight on Excursion Day, 9th November 2025. ("the Permitted Period").
"Private Function" means any function that does not and/or is not intended primarily to promote or market the business of the persons hosting the function. For the avoidance of doubt, Private Functions outside the Permitted Period are not allowed.
APAA is committed to maintaining an APAA Meeting environment in which people are treated with dignity, decency and respect. As such, APAA does not condone any form of inappropriate behavior such as harassment, unlawful discrimination or oppression. APAA will take appropriate action if we receive complaints directed to the APAA President at secretariat@apaa.asia. Complaints will be treated on a strictly confidential basis.
There is no insurance coverage of any kind that applies for your benefit by your payment of the registration fees and/or your attendance/participation at an APAA Meeting. You are strongly advised to take up personal insurance as you consider fit, and this may include travel insurance, medical insurance and insurance to cover injury, loss or damage to the person and property. APAA and the Organising Committee accept no responsibility to take up insurance for any loss, damage or injury of any kind which may arise in the course of the APAA Meeting or participation in any of the Meeting programmes.
Participation in the APAA Meeting and all the organized events is at the participant's own risk, who shall assume responsibility for his/her own actions and safety, exercise sound judgment and be prepared for all conditions. APAA and the APAA Recognised Group of Malaysia (Asian Patent Attorneys Association (Malaysia) Berhad) disclaim all and any liability for any accidents, loss, injury, damage, inconvenience or any other damage or loss, whether direct or consequential, that may arise or be suffered or sustained by any cancellation or postponement of the APAA Meeting or by participating in the APAA Meeting or any of its programmes.
Participants will be issued event name badges which must be worn at all times to access the conference area and/or event venues. Participants may be issued identification tokens, such as wristbands for specific events, which must be worn to access the event venue. For the safety and security of our Participants, persons without event identification (name badge and wristband) will be denied entry into the event venues.
