It is with much pleasure that the APAA Recognised Group of Malaysia and I invite you to join us for the 21st General Assembly and 77th & 78th Council Meetings of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) that will be taking place from 6th November to 10th November 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre – right in the heart of Malaysia’s vibrant capital, set against the stunning backdrop of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.

We are honoured and privileged to be host again. It was more than ten years ago when we last had this privilege when we were host of the APAA 63rd Council Meeting in Penang in 2014. As previously, we have enjoyed the experience in organising this APAA Meeting, cherishing in the shared excitement, enthusiasm and the strengthening of bonds amongst our members as we worried and fretted together, brainstormed and worked tirelessly to try to make this meeting experience special, by bringing some of the local highlights of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia, to you.

President Hari, the ExCom/AdCom Members and chairpersons of various committees have also worked diligently with us to put together a program that will not only showcase the latest insights and developments in IP,s but which will also provide opportunities to foster meaningful collaborations, professional growth as well as the building of new connections.

Beyond the conference, Kuala Lumpur offers a rich mix of cultural experiences, amazing cuisine as well as a dynamic blend of tradition and modernity. It is an experience that will go beyond professional development. It is the prefect setting for us to come together, exchange ideas and learn what’s new in IP, make new friendships and build lasting ones.
